Customer-specific pricing software for distributors: Every customer, at their own price.
Wholesale pricing is never one number. DistrX.io gives every customer a price level, then adds contract prices, quantity breaks and break-case pricing on top. The same price shows up in the office, on the rep's phone and on the portal.
How a price is worked out
For each line, DistrX.io checks the rules in order and uses the first one that applies. So the price is always the one you meant.
Price levels
List, A, B, C, or as many levels as you use. Give each customer a level, and set each level as a price, a markup on cost or a discount off list.
Contract prices
A fixed price for one customer or a group of customers, with a start and end date. When the contract ends, the price goes back to their level by itself.
Quantity breaks
Buy 10 cases and save 3%. Breaks can be set on a product, a category or a vendor’s line, and the customer can see them on the portal.
Case, pack & each
Each unit of measure has its own price. Breaking a case can cost more, and a pallet can cost less.
Margin, always visible
The margin on each line is worked out from landed cost, so managers see it while the order is being taken. Reps see it only if you allow it.
Below-cost guard
A line priced below cost, or below a margin you set, holds the order for approval instead of going out without anyone noticing.
One product, every price, one screen
A product’s page shows its cost, every price level with its margin, and every contract that overrides them. Change a level’s formula and every product priced from it updates.
- Levels set as a fixed price, a markup on cost or a discount off list
- A cost change can update every price that is a markup on cost
- Price changes saved now and taking effect on a future date
Sold by the each, bought by the pallet
Each product can have several units: each, pack, case and pallet, with a barcode and a price for each. Stock is counted in the smallest unit, so selling some cases and some eaches never puts the count out.
- A barcode for each unit, so scanning the case adds a case
- A break-case price applied by itself when a case is split
- On-hand shown in whole cases plus the eaches left over
Questions, answered
Anything else? Email us — a human replies.
How many price levels can I have?
As many as your business uses. Most distributors have three to six. Each customer is on one level, and contracts override it for the products they cover.
Can a contract cover a whole category?
Yes. A contract can name single products or a whole category or vendor line, as a fixed price or a discount, for one customer or a group, with start and end dates.
Do reps see costs and margins?
Only if you allow it. Cost and margin are hidden by role. Many distributors show reps the margin but not the cost, and hide both from the warehouse and drivers.
Does the portal show the customer’s own prices?
Yes. A customer signed in to the portal sees exactly the price they would get from a rep or on a phone order, including their contract prices and quantity breaks.
