Food & beverage distribution software: For food distributors, where every date matters.
DistrX.io tracks every lot and expiry date from the receiving dock to the customer's back door. It picks the oldest stock first, bills catch-weight products by what they weigh, and traces a recall in seconds.
Made for products that expire
Restaurants, delis, grocers and schools, and the shelf life of everything you sell them.
Lots & expiry
Lots and expiry dates are recorded at receiving, shown on every pick and traced to every invoice.
First-expiring-first
Pickers are sent to the oldest lot. Stock that’s close to its date is flagged so it can be sold before it’s wasted.
Catch weight
Sell meat, cheese and produce by the case but bill by the pound, using the weight captured at packing.
Recall tracing
Choose a lot and see every customer and invoice it went to, ready to call or export.
Storage zones
Keep dry, chilled and frozen stock in separate warehouses or zones, with pick lists split by zone.
Standing orders
Restaurants order the same things twice a week. Reps and the portal start from that order every time.
Billed by what’s actually in the case
A case of ribeye is never exactly 15 pounds. Weights are scanned at packing, and the invoice bills each case by its real weight at the customer’s price per pound.
- The order shows the estimated weight, and the invoice shows the actual weight
- Price per pound set by price level, like any other price
- Margin worked out from the actual weight
Less waste, faster recalls
Every lot is followed from receiving to the invoice. Pickers take the oldest stock first, and short-dated stock shows up on a report while you can still sell it.
- An expiry report by warehouse, category and vendor
- Lot numbers printed on packing slips and invoices
- Recall lists in seconds, with customer contacts

Can I sell some products by weight and others by the case?
Yes. Mark a product as catch weight and it is billed per pound from the weight captured at packing. Everything else is sold by its units of measure as usual.
How fast can I trace a lot?
Choose the lot and DistrX.io lists every customer, order and invoice it went out on, ready to export or call.
Do you handle chilled and frozen storage?
Set up each temperature zone as its own warehouse or set of bins. Pick lists are split by zone, so frozen stock is picked last.
